Lift booze prices drinking age health experts argue
The government is on track to lift the drinking age to 21 in Queensland, with Health Minister Jane Garrett confirming an announcement this week.
Dr Garrett told 612 ABC Brisbane’s 7:30 program that she expected a final decision on a lifting of the drink driving laws in early September.
However, she wouldn’t confirm the age in question and said it was in the „work-on“ stage.
„Right now, we’re actually looking at this in a work-on environment,“ Dr Garrett said.
She says the decision on a lifting of the alcohol laws is in the work-on stage, but it should be ready by next year.apronx
